Returning for 2004 with minor changes, the Frontier 4WD is now available in six models: XE-V6, SVE, and S/C V6 in both King Cab and four-door Crew Cab configurations. The XE-V6 features a 3.3L 180 hp V6, while the SVE and S/C V6 receive a supercharged version of the same engine that boasts 210 hp and 246 lb.-ft. of torque. An automatic transmission is standard on both the SVE and S/C V6, optional on the XE-V6. Four-wheel anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, a locking tailgate, and fender flares are standard on all models. Several option packages with trim and power feature upgrades are available. Port-installed optional equipment includes a bed liner, bed extender, and a collapsible storage box.
