Returning for 2004 with minor changes, the Frontier 2WD is now available in six models: Standard, XE, and XE-V6 King Cabs, and XE-V6, LE V6, and Supercharged V6 Crew Cabs. The Standard and XE feature a 143 hp four cylinder engine, while the XE-V6 and LE V6 receive a 3.3L 180 hp V6. The supercharged version of the 3.3L V6 boasts 210 hp and 246 lb.-ft. of torque. Four-wheel anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, a locking tailgate, and fender flares are standard on all models. Several option packages with trim and power feature upgrades are available. Port-installed optional equipment includes a bed liner, bed extender, and a collapsible storage box.
