The 2004 Tacoma PreRunner continues from the previous year with few changes. There are three models available: Regular Cab, Xtra Cab, and Double Cab, all with 2WD. Regular Cab models are equipped with in-line four cylinder engines, while Xtra Cab and Double Cab models may be upgraded with an optional V-6. All Tacoma PreRunners feature an automatic transmission. Toyota offers several option packages on the Tacoma, such as the SR5 and Limited packages, that include a variety of exterior trim upgrades and functional feature improvements.
