The CTS sedan in it's second year since it's introduction is powered by a 3.2L V6 engine with 220 horsepower and 218 lb-ft of torque. Available transmissions include a five-speed manual Getrag transmission or an optional five-speed automatic transmission with sport and winter modes. For better handling, the CTS is equipped with the Cadillac StabiliTrak 2.0 system, traction control, and four-wheel ABS brakes. The CTS-V, introduced in January, is a high performance version, featuring a 400hp engine paired with a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. The V-Series has larger F&R stabilizer bars, increased diameter shocks, and Brembo brakes with 14-in rotors. The CTS-V comes standard with 18-inch wheels and tires, and has a Lateral g of .91.
