For 2003, Subaru introduces the all new Baja to it's line-up. The Baja is based on the Outback platform with an integrated truck bed accessible through a flip-down access panel behind the rear seats. Styling elements include Silver Stone body cladding, large fog lights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The expandable pickup bed features an integrated bed liner, and can be extended to a length of seven and a half feet to accomodate anything from mountain bikes to surfboards. The Baja is powered by a 2.5L four cylinder engine producing 165 horsepower. Transmission options include a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic. The Baja also offers a variety of luggage rack attachments to accomodate skis, kayaks, and snowboards.
