The new 2003 ION sedans debut this year in three trimlines: ION 1, ION 2, and the ION 3. Late in the model year, the Quad Coupe bodystyle was added. All models come fully equipped with a 2.2L 140-hp engine matted to a five-speed manual transmission. Optional equipment includes a five-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel anti-lock brakes with traction control. Enhanced safety features include dual front airbags, optional side head curtain protection, child door locks, and the LATCH child safety restraint system. Available OnStar communication services include stolen vehicle tracking, roadside assistance, and convenience and concierge services. A power glass sunroof and a six-disc in-dash CD changer are also available on some models.
