The New 2003 Volkswagen Beetle TDi is offered in both the GL and GLS models. Both models feature a 1.9L Turbo Diesel engine with an available four-speed automatic transmission. Optional equipment includes the Monsoon eight-speaker sound system, a six-disc trunk mounted CD changer, and the electronic stabilization program with brake assist for enhanced traction control. A power glass sunroof is now standard on the GLS and comes with a sunshade and pinch protection. The Cold Weather Package now offers heatable front seats and windsheild washers. The GLS offers an optional Leather Package featuring custom leather interior. New exterior colors for 2003 include Galactic Blue, Sundown Orange, Sunflower Yellow, and Campanella White.
