The 2003 Cavalier is available in six models: Base, LS, and LS Sport trim and in either coupe or sedan. The Z24 trim has been discontinued. Minor styling updates include new front fascia and headlamps and rear fascia and tailamps. The Ecotec 2.2L 4 Cylinder 140 hp Gas Engine is now standard on all models. LATCH child safety seat anchors, center rear three-point seat belt, and optional side impact air bags were added to increase safety. New optional equipment added this year includes an XM satellite radio and the OnStar Communications System (available only on the LS and LS Sport). Victory Red, Olympic White, and Arrival Blue are new exterior colors available on all models while the coupes receive a yellow exterior paint exclusive to them.
