Chevrolet has carried over the S-10 small truck line-up with only minor alterations for 2003. Available equipment groups have been simplified to ease ordering. The Regular Cab models are available in Base and LS trim and with 2WD only. A long-bed model is also available in both trims. Powertrain options include a 2.2L four-cylinder engine and a 4.3L 180-hp V-6; both engines are available with either manual or an automatic transmission. The Xtreme Appearance Package continues to be available on LS models, equipping the S-10 with color-keyed front and rear bumpers and grille, unique body moldings, and a sport-tuned suspension with lowered ride height. A new six-disc changer is now optional on LS models, as well.
