Chevrolet has carried over the S-10 small truck line-up with only minor alterations for 2003. The Extended Cab models are available in Base and LS trim and with either 2WD or 4WD. The S-10 Crew Cab, which features four full doors and seating for five passengers, is only available as a 4WD model with LS trim. Powertrain options include a 2.2L four-cylinder engine and a 4.3L 190-hp V-6; both engines are available with either manual or an automatic transmission. The ZR2 Wide Stance Package continues to be available on 4WD LS models, providing the S-10 with a host of off-road performance components such as heavy-duty differential gears, Bilstein shock absorbers, extra-wide wheel flares, and underbody skid shields.
