The M3 returns for this year with numerous revisions. An in-dash CD player is now standard, making the cassette player available as a no-cost option. New for this year is the optional Sequential M Gearbox, which is a six-speed manual transmission that offers control through either foot pedals or the gearshift level. Improvements to the M3 include a larger screen on the navigation system, enhanced Bi-Xenon headlights, and a lighter front bumper to reduce total vehicle weight. As well as being a component of the Cold Weather Package, heated front seats are now offered as a stand-alone option. Also new, Automatic Headlight Control is grouped with the optional rain sensing wipers. Interior and exterior color choices have also been updated.
