Jeep has expanded the Grand Cherokee line for 2002. The Grand Cherokee 2WD is now available in three models: Laredo, Laredo Sport, Special Edition, and Limited. The new Laredo Sport model adds to the base Laredo popular features such as leather seats and Infinity sound system. Both the Laredo and Laredo Sport are powered by a 195-hp in-line six-cylinder engine, while the Limited model features a 235-hp V-8 engine. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard, with a five-speed automatic available. Additional standard equipment includes four-wheel ABS brakes, power windows and locks, power seat adjusters, and an AM/FM CD stereo. Side-impact airbags, a 10-disc changer, and a power sunroof are among the available options.
