The Jetta TDi models continue into the new model year with two new models and other detail changes. The Jetta TDi is now available in GL and GLS wagon versions, in addition to the previous GL and GLS sedans. Standard equipment on both models includes keyless entry remote, speed sensitive door locks, and ABS brakes. Later in the model year, GLS models will feature a Premium CD stereo with both cassette and in-dash CD players as standard equipment. The Monsoon sound system will continue to be optional. The TDi (turbo direct injection) diesel engine continues without major changes. The wagon TDi models boast class-leading EPA MPG fuel economy of 42 city and 50 highway with a five-speed manual transmission. Sedans produce 42 city and 49 highway.
