The Ranger Supercab returns for 2002 with several changes. The model line-up includes the XL, XLT, XLT 4WD, Edge, Edge 4WD, and the all new Tremor. New optional packages include the XLT Appearance Package, the Power Equipment Group, and the XLT FX-4 Package. A few of the FX-4 Package features include a more rugged outside appearance, oversized all terrain tires, a limited slip rear differential, and Bilstein shock absorbers. Upgrades for 2002 include a new MP3/CD player, color-keyed floor mats (XLT models), and increased fuel economy for the 3.0L engine. The new Tremor model features the Tremor Audiophile Sound System which features a Pioneer stereo with a ten-inch subwoofer mounted behind the front seat and a total of 485 watts of peak power.
