The Blazer is again available in four models: Two-Door and Four-Door, in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. A new exterior paint color, Sage Green, is offered for 2001. Standard safety equipment includes next generation airbags, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, and daytime running lights. Three trim packages are available: LS, LT, and TrailBlazer. LT and TrailBlazer upgrades include a power driver seat, leather steering wheel, power heated outside mirrors, and aluminum wheels. The optional Shield Package, available only on 4WD models, comes with transfer case and front differential skid plates, as well as fuel tank and steering linkage shields. Additional options include climate control and a Bose premium sound system.
