The Prizm is available in two models: (Base) and LSi. One interior revision for the Prizm is a new map light integrated in the inside of the rearview mirror. An inside trunk release handle is now standard. Standard safety features include daytime running lights and child safety rear door locks. A 1.8 liter 16-valve DOHC engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, power rack-and-pinion steering and a day/night rear view mirror are standard equipment. The optional automatic transmission is available in a 3-speed and 4-speed. The tachometer is optional on the base and standard on the LSi. Optional Preferred Equipment Group 2 includes cruise control, power door locks and an AM/FM ETR Stereo with cassette and is only available on the Base.
