The 2000 Sunfire is available in three bodystyles -- SE Sedan and Coupe, GT Coupe and Convertible. New for this year are foglamps for GT models, 14-inch or 15-inch wheel covers, 16-inch aluminum wheels on GT and the German-built Getrag manual transmission for improved gearshift, which is standard for coupe and sedan. New exterior colors are added: Medium Green and Ultra Silver. The SE models come with a standard 115-hp 2.2L engine and the GT models are powered by 150-hp 2.4L engine. Standard features for all models include daytime running lights, driver and passenger air bags, height-adjustable seatbelts, air conditioning, anti-lock brakes and theft deterrent system. To enhance comfort, Option Groups 1SB and 1SC are available.
