For the 2000 model year, the Frontier 2WD pickup is now available in six models. The new line-up includes the XE Regular Cab, XE King Cab, the all new Desert Runner XE-V6 and SE-V6 and the all new Crew Cab XE-V6 and SE-V6. The Desert Runner is a new 2WD King Cab model based on the same heavy duty chassis, mechanicals, ride height and stance of the Frontier 4WD V6 model. The Crew Cab models include four full size doors with seating for five people and a 4-1/2 foot short bed. Both SE models include a chrome grille and bumpers, a Premium AM/FM stereo with CD, air conditioning and a sliding rear window. A Value Plus Package is available on the XE models which contains alloy wheels, a tilt steering wheel and variable intermittent wipers.
