After a highly successful debut, the New Beetle arrives this new model year showcasing many enhancements. The model line has branched into three choices: GL, GLS, and GLX. The GL features limited optional equipment and a 2.0L gas engine. The GLS comes with increased standard features and is available with either a 2.0L gas engine, a 1.9L turbo diesel or a 1.8L turbo gas engine. After a mid-year debut, the GLX boasts a standard leather seating package, pop-up rear spoiler and a 1.8L turbo gas engine. New items include an overhead console with sun glass holder, an outside temperature gauge and a remote keyless entry key fob with an integrated folding key, which replaces the separate key fob and remote of last year.
