New for 1999, the Tacoma PreRunner 2WD pickup truck is now available in two models, the new regular cab and the Xtracab. Updates for 1999 include four new paint colors: Natural White, Cardinal Red, Imperial Jade Mica and Horizon Blue Metallic. The PreRunner combines the look and style of the Tacoma 4WD with the affordability of a 2WD pickup. Standard safety features on both models include driver and front passenger air bags and side impact door beams. Also new on the regular cab model is an optional Value Edition Plus Package which includes an AM/FM radio with cassette, air conditioning and floor mats. The Xtracab model includes flip-out rear quarter windows and height-adjustable front headrests as standard features.
