The Camry Solara arrives this year as a new model based upon the familiar Camry sedan. Extensive adjustments were made, however, in the structure and suspension to provide more responsive ride and handling characteristics, and to produce improved steering feel. Standard amenities include power windows and door locks, air conditioning, and wood-grain accents. On the safety front, a side-impact airbag system is optional, and V6 models feature standard anti-lock brakes, which are optional on four cylinder models. Solara is the first Toyota to feature a new optional JBL premium sound audio, which features a 200 watt, eight speaker system. Heat-absorbing glass reduces ultraviolet rays by approximately 86 percent and infrared rays by 74 percent.
