The 1999 4Runner is available in six models - the Base, SR5 and Limited in 2WD and 4WD. The 4Runner features two engine options. The Base 2WD and 4WD is available with a torque-strong 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 150-hp and the SR5 and Limited models offer a powerful 3.4-liter V6 with 183-hp. The 4Runner features a convenient power rear window to allow access to the cargo area without opening the tailgate. The Power Package includes power windows, door locks and outside mirrors. The antenna is available as an option on the Base and SR5 while standard on the Limited model. The Limited edition offers an available multi-mode 4-wheel drive system with full-time 4-wheel drive mode to provide added traction in adverse road conditions.
