The Impreza is carried over with minimal changes for 1999. Five models continue to be offered; two coupes, one sedan and two wagons. The RS Coupe features a higher performance engine, sport tuned suspension, over-size rear spoiler and standard 16-inch wheels. An Outback Wagon is available that boasts a higher ground clearance suspension, two-tone paint, white lettered tires and a roof rack. All models feature air conditioning, power windows and power door locks as standard equipment. The Gauge Pack is optional on all models and includes an outside temperature gauge, compass, barometer and altimeter. Optional equipment includes a keyless entry system, an upgraded security system and a compact disc player.
