The 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix is available in five models- the SE sedan, GT coupe, GT sedan GTP coupe and GTP sedan. New for 1999, Pontiac introduces two new exterior colors: Dark Bronzemist Metallic and Medium Gulf Blue Metallic. Now available as a dealer option, the OnStar Communication System provides roadside assistance, travel route support and emergency services through integrating a hands-free phone, advance vehicle electronics and Global Positioning System. The GTP models feature the 3.8-liter 3800 series II V6 engine which generates 240-hp and 280lb/ft of torque for individuals who desire more performance. Pontiac+s Enhanced Traction System which automatically engages when wheel spin is detected is standard on all models.
