For 1999, the Base regular cab model has been removed from the Frontier line-up. The Frontier 2WD lineup now consists of a XE regular cab and two King Cab models, XE and SE. The Frontier is the first Nissan Pick-up Truck with an official name. New exterior colors include Cinnamon Bronze metallic and Black Emerald metallic. Standard safety equipment includes dual air bags with passenger side air bag cut-off switch. The SE King Cab model includes chrome grille and bumpers, deluxe AM/FM cassette stereo, air conditioning and a sliding rear window. Available on the XE models is a Value Truck Package that contains air conditioning and a deluxe sound system. This package also includes alloy wheels and sliding rear window on the King Cab.
