The 1999 Passport is available in four models- LX 2WD, LX 4WD, EX 2WD and EX 4WD. All Passport models come with a full list of standard features including: power windows and locks, four wheel anti-lock brakes and CFC-free air conditioning. The 3.2-liter engine produces 205-hp and 241 lb/ft of torque to allow the passport to tackle steep grades or to pass with ease. The EX models can be ordered with leather seats, the only option available from the factory. All 4-wheel-drive models are equipped with shift-on-the-fly which allows the driver switch from 2-wheel-drive to 4-wheel drive without stopping the vehicle. The LX models come standard with a 5-speed manual transmission, but can be upgraded with the optional 4-speed automatic.
