For 1999, the Windstar has a new exterior that features shorter front end styling thanks to a new hood, fenders, lamps and fascia. The Windstar has a standard 3.0 liter V-6 engine and a larger 3.8 liter V-6 engine is an available option. New standard features for this model year include glass mounted antenna, Securilock passive anti-theft system and two 12-volt power points. Medium Royal Blue Clearcoat Metallic and Medium Steel Blue Clearcoat Metallic are two new exterior colors available for 1999. An optional Van Value Group package is available that includes electric rear window defroster, manual air conditioning and power convenience group. Other options include Speed Control/Tilt Wheel, Privacy Glass and an AM/FM Stereo with Cassette.
