The 1999 Taurus is again available in four trim levels - LX, SE (sedan and wagon) and SHO. Option Groups include the SE Sport Group, the SE Comfort Group and the Wagon Group. The SE Sport Group (sedan only) includes the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec engine, a rear spoiler, the SecuriLock theft deterrent system and five-spoke aluminum wheels. The SHO features luxury amenities such as leather bucket seats, a power moonroof and a six-disc CD changer. Standard safety features for all models include variable intermittent windshield wipers, a rear defroster and child safety locks. Anti-lock brakes, cruise control and a keyless remote entry system are optional. Two new exterior colors for 1999 include Tropic Green and Graphite Blue.
