The 1999 Ranger regular cab is available in four models - XL and XLT in two and four wheel drive. New for 1999, all models feature a Class III frame-mounted trailer hitch, a 3.0-liter V6 Flexible Fuel engine and several new interior and exterior color combinations. Four-wheel drive models are equipped with front tow hooks, a tachometer gauge and automatic locking hubs as standard equipment. The XLT 4WD is also available with the optional XLT 4X4 Off-Road Group which includes upgraded wheels and tires, off-road suspension, fog lamps, skid plates and a 4.10 rear axle ratio. Optional packages include the Convenience Group (XLT), the Power Equipment Group (XLT) and the XL and XLT Sport Appearance Groups.
