The Ford F250 2WD and 4WD light duty pick-up trucks are back for the 1999 model year and now include the all new Super Duty 2WD and 4WD models which replace the 1997 F250 Heavy Duty models after a year of absence. For 1999, improvements include depowered front air bags, and on the Heavy Duty models, an enhanced suspension system and revised power steering system. A change in the line up includes dropping the Base model and replacing it with the Work Series trim model. The F250 is available in two upgraded models, the XLT and the Lariat. New features included with the XLT include a chrome front bumper, underhood service light and a lockable removable tailgate.
