For 1999, the Explorer AWD is offered in three trim levels: XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited. New features for 1999 include new fog lamps, new front bumper, bodyside molding, revised paint colors and luggage rack. All models feature a trailer towing package that includes limited slip differential, wiring harness, HD flasher and 3.73 axle ratio. This package is recommended for towing trailers. A CD changer is also optional. The Eddie Bauer value is enhanced with Mach audio system, illuminated running boards and leather sport seats with power passenger seat.
