For 1999, the Explorer 2WD is available in five trim levels - XL, Sport 2-door, XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited. New features for 1999 include new fog lamps, a reverse sensing system, rear load leveling, new front bumper and revised paint colors. Also new are the seat colors, lift gate moldings, 16-inch wheels for Limited and side airbags. The Eddie Bauer features a two-tone paint scheme, illuminated running boards, Mach audio system and leather sport bucket seats. The Power Equipment Group includes power windows, door locks and power mirrors. The Limited offers heated seats, wood grain trim and homelink.
