The 1998 Sebring Convertible is available in five new exterior colors: Champagne Pearl, Alpine Green, Platinum Silver, Intense Blue and Deep Slate. In addition, a new Agate interior color scheme is offered. All 1998 Sebring Convertible models are equipped with next generation air bags which deploy with less force than their predecessors and a refined four wheel disc ABS brake system. Also new is the Smart Key vehicle immobilizer which requires a computer match between the key and the ignition for the engine to start. For the JXi model, a new Limited package will be offered (later in the model year). The Limited package includes AutoStick transmission, traction control, Rose Zebrano wood appliquÄs and a number of other features.
