For 1998, the V70 wagon is available in Base, GLT and T5. V70, formerly the 850, was renamed to reflect the V-line that was introduced in Europe last year. In addition to being renamed, the exterior now has a rounder hood and fenders, new bumper and adjustments to both headlamps and tail-lamps. The suspension has been softened and the GLT has re-styled wheels. Ergonomics have been addressed with a new dashboard design and ventilation system. The remote entry and security system has a control module that controls all the lock and alarm functions. The system+s wiring is completely integrated with the car. The system also prevents the doors from locking when the key is in the ignition and in the off position.
