The 1997 Impreza is available in five models - Brighton coupe, L coupe, Sedan, Wagon and Outback Wagon. The new1997 Impreza has added a new sporty front bumper and grille, then went on to increase horse power by five, bringing the total number of horsepower to 115 on the Brighton and 137 on the other models. The L coupe upgrades Brighton with a 2.2L engine, dual power side-view mirrors, rear spoiler and front air dam spoiler. The Impreza sedan has dropped the LX model from it's line-up, and added the standard features to the L sedan which include air conditioning, power door locks and upgraded stereo system. The all wheel drive system sends power to the individual wheels to insure the best traction in turns and on slick surfaces, is provided.
