The 1997 Q45 is available only as a sedan. The new 4.1 liters, V8 engine replaces 4.5 liters V8 engine. The 4.1 liter, V8 engine provides more torque and is exempt from gas guzzler-tax. Also, Traction Control and 16-inch alloy wheels are now standard on Q45. The Touring Package upgrades the Base model with front black-out grille, performance tuned suspension, rear spoiler, Q45t badging, performance steering wheel, CD changer and performance alloy wheels. The Q45 offers a new security called Infiniti Personalized Protection System (IPPS). The IPPS uses a magnetically coded key that checks the code before the engine is started. Available options include heated seats and compact disc changer.
