The 1996 Mirage coupe is available in two models--S and LS. New for 1996 are four exterior paint colors: Neptune Green, Panama Green Pearl, Phoenix Red and Cambridge Red Pearl. A 1.5L engine with manual five-speed or optional three-speed automatic are offered for S. While the LS sports a 1.8L engine with optional four-speed automatic or standard five-speed transmission. Both feature dual air bags and side impact protection. An optional equipment package for S includes power steering, tinted glass, cupholders and day/night rearview mirror. The optional LS value package includes air conditioning, CD player, floor mats, cargo net and wheel locks. Standard features include center storage console, rear window defogger and halogen headlamps.
