The 1996 Taurus wagon is available in two models - GL and LX. The Taurus has been Completely redesigned for 1996. All models will include air conditioning, power steering, automatic transmission, rear defroster, power windows and power mirrors as standard equipment. Safety features for the Taurus include dual airbags, child safety locks and optional ABS brakes. Ford has developed a new 200hp Duratec 3.0L V6 engine for the LX model. The new LX model also includes a MicronAir Filtration System, passive anti-theft coded key, heavy duty battery, power door locks and power driver seat. Note: New seat trim inserts(a muted tweed material) will be phased in on GL models beginning late February. Please check with your ordering source for details.
